Oh dear…oh dear…oh dear…Another word game…My kids just don’t know what hits them when I play a word game..Word Games are my FAVORITE! Why? Because I can win them…all the time! I know, I know, I have kids, I should let them win…but I can’t – Not in word games. It is like I have a dictionary in my head waiting to get out when I play word games and Nab It! clearly fit the bill!

Oh..but wait!!!! It is not just about making words – NO!! This game allows you to STEAL other players words!!! What! My Dictionary head doesn’t want that!!! From the makers of Scrabble, this word-building game challenges you to link your colored tiles to create words crossword-style and then steal words from your opponents by stacking your tiles on top of theirs. When all the tiles have been used, count up the words showing — if you’ve got the most, you win! WHOA!!!

My kids challenged me to a game last night. We sat down, game faces in place, and played. And we had SO MUCH FUN! My kids LOVED the fact that they were stealing MY WORDS! I loved that! Plus it was a GREAT opportunity to help them with spelling and introducing new words in their vocabulary – Nothing like a game that is fun and educational!

Today my kids played with a neighborhood friend and they had a blast. Nab It! retails for approximately 19.99 and can be played with 2 – 4 players ages 8 and up. However, I think kids younger than 8 could play this game and it gives them an opportunity to practice the new words they learn everyday in school!

This is such a fun game – we all had a great time and I cannot wait to play it again with my kids. Betsy and I actually brought it to the football field with us to play while we watched Reece practice. Good, fun, family times. But isn’t that what games should be about? And Hasbro is just the right place to get them! From Monopoly, to Trivial Pursuit, to Operation Hasbro has games for everyone. With the Holidays right around the corner, I think Nab It! would be a great gift!
