One day I was having to force Reece to take a shower and comb his hair, the next day he was taking two showers a day and asking me for hair gel and a comb. What the heck? I guess it’s that time, at almost 12 years old,  to start “primping”. That is why I was stoked to be able to let my kids and nephew put Monkey Brains Hair Care Products to the test!

Monkey Brains is a new collection of hair care products geared towards kids 8-14.  With With 2 Gels, 2 Glues, 1 Pomade, a Hair Refresher, and a Shampoo and Conditioner, Monkey Brains allows kids to create any kind of hair style they want, from funky to fab!

I was sent the Grease Monkey Hair Pomade, Super Sticky Hair Gel, and samples of Twisted Sticky Hair Glue and Psycho Sticky Hair Glue to try out.

Reece loved the Grease Monkey Hair Pomade. Reece’s hair can look a little crazy at times, so the Pomade was great for him. He loves to make his hair look wild and this did the trick.

With the Pomade, just note that a little goes a long way. We found that if we used too much Reece’s hair looked greasy and flat, but when we used about a dime – quarter size, Reece hair went crazy and stood on out every which way – The exact way he likes it!

Monkey Brains

My nephew Ricky has been rockin’ a mohawk (not a fauxhawk) for a few months now and his mom has had a terrible time finding a product that works well to keep his mohawk in place so I gave her the Twisted Sticky Hair Glue and Psycho Sticky Hair Glue to try out.

Now you tell me – Does this product work or what?

Monkey Brains Hair Products

Apparently the Psycho Sticky Hair Glue worked almost instantly to get Ricky’s mohawk to stand out. Jenny said it was the best product she has used yet on Ricky’s hair. No need to use the hair dryer for 15 minutes to help Ricky’s mohawk stand at attention – this stuff works immediately!

Ricky even said to Jenny, “Tell her to send me a real bottle of this!”. And Jenny asked me, “Where the heck to we get this stuff?!”.

If your kids want to rock their hair like Reece & Ricky do, then definitely check out Monkey Brains Hair Care Products! But, that’s not all. Not only do they rock the hair products, they also help charities! Monkey Brains will be sponsoring the GBK Nick Kid’s Choice Awards suite at the end of the month offering celebs a chance to take a whack at pediatric cancer.  For every celeb that comes through the suite and takes a whack at a monkey pinata they will donate $100 to the charity!  It’s so important for the brand to do good – and look good doing it!

Overall, after trying these products, I would definitely agree they do exactly what they were meant to do and work very well.
