If you haven’t noticed, a couple of months ago my blog was transferred to WordPress from Blogger and redesigned. I didn’t do it. I just don’t have that kind of “technicality” or creativity in me. Brandy, at StitchBlade Designs did it for me.

I met Brandy on the Brandcation Media Event in November and we hit it off immediately and became fast friends. Too bad she lives on the other end of the US because I think we would have a blast hanging out.

(Lisa, Me, & Brandy at Brandcation)

Brandy is more than a WordPress Designer. She is a blogger herself and I have learned quite a bit from her. Check out her blog Not So Average Mama.

She is self taught, so that everything she has learned she worked hard for and I commend her on that. I don’t know if I would have the patience for that. She is also an AWESOME photographer ~ her photos are beautiful so if you live in the Lake Dallas, Texas area you should hit her up at Loudmouth Photography.

Some of Brandy’s beautiful photography:

But more than all of those wonderful things she is, she has also been a real, true friend to me and I cannot thank her enough. She is always there to listen to me if I need an ear or if I just need to vent.

I feel very fortunate to have Stitchblade Designs redesign my blog, and feel even more fortunate that Brandy is my friend.

Thanks Brandy!

Want to get to know me better?

Then luckily for me Never Growing Old, hosts Meet Me on Monday! She will post 5 questions each week in order for us to get to know each other better.

Questions:

1. Caesar Salad or Garden Salad?

Depends…at a restaurant – Caeser, at home Garden Salad.

2.  Will you be watching the Royal Wedding on April 29th?

Ummm…No. And I truly don’t understand the fascination of it. I can find a lot more important things to do with my time than watch someone from another country get married..on TV.

3.  Last thing you spent lots of money on?

A new truck. What can I say. Two out of three of our other trucks were broken down, I needed something to drive.

4.  Window seat or aisle seat?

Aisle seat ALL THE WAY. I feel claustrophobic enough in an airplane.

5.  Do you know your blood type?

No, I regret to say I have no idea what my blood type is.

I Saw You

by Katie

It seems like every day I see someone doing something that makes me scratch my head and say “What in the world?” so I decided I would write a weekly article on this.

This list will tell you the crazy things I saw people do when they thought someone wasn’t looking – or when they did it and didn’t care who was looking!

1. Last night, I was in my car in a parking lot. Up the hill I saw a young lady walking her dog. The next thing I know she is burping like a toad frog. LOL. I know she didn’t see me sitting there. But, I saw and heard her in all of her bullfrog glory!

2. I was grocery shopping and was behind a lady who was taking over the whole aisle. I was not in a hurry so when she stopped to pick out some chips I patiently waited for her. She knew I was behind her. When she walked away she put her hand down the back of her pants and adjusted her underwear…EWWWWWW. I guess I will be wearing gloves to the grocery store next time. Can I lysol packages???

3. I was at a stop light waiting my turn. The other traffic had the green light. But, only if they were going straight. However, a new, shiny BMW pulled up to the left hand turn lane and even though the light was red, made his left turn. Man, I wish I was a police officer sometime!

4. I live in a big neighborhood that has a homeowners association. They spend hundreds of our dollars planting flowers everywhere. Today, driving down the road, I saw a mom and her child picking those flowers. Hey now! Give me those back! I paid for part of them!

Not too bad! Only four this week!

Do you ever feel like when you talk to your husband, that he is only half listening? Hmmm….me too. And now I have the proof.

Yesterday, I made Chocolate Soap. It was for a craft idea for Mother’s Day on my other blog. At the time I was making it I told my husband, “We are not having dessert, that is chocolate soap,” as I pointed to the dish of SOAP that was cooling in the kitchen.

Mel went to work for a few hours. In the meantime, the soap cooled so I broke it up, wrapped a few bars up in tissue to giveaway, and left the other ones on the counter.

Mel comes in from work, goes into the kitchen, and all of the sudden I hear “Oh my gosh, what is that?! It is nasty!” as he is spitting out the Chocolate Soap.

“I told you not to eat that. I guess you weren’t listening.” I said as I was busting up laughing!

“I even swallowed some!” said Mel.

And I just keep laughing. Maybe that will teach him to listen a little more closely. HA HA!
